Looks a Little Like Nazi Germany: California's Sodomite Suppression Act

In California, any citizen can place an initiative on the ballot to propose a new law as long as enough signatures are gathered. It's called direct democracy. A ballot proposal is currently moving forward in the Golden State, which would authorize the killing of gays and lesbians by "bullets to the head" or other "convenient method." I kid you not!

California attorney Matt McLaughlin filed papers to begin gathering signatures for a ballot measure, the "Sodomite Suppression Act," which if passed would criminalize sodomy and allow the death penalty for anyone who "touches another person of the same gender for purposes of sexual gratification."

Bizarre as it sounds, there are people who actually want this thing to happen. What I find most appalling is how the Republican Party and Christian right have remained silent on this particular ballot initiative.
